VFF: Block 3

This course is based on NFPA 1001: Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications. The Certified Volunteer Fire Fighter Block courses prepare the student for the Volunteer Fire Fighter State Certification Examination. The course is highly structured to provide academic information through a series of lectures and demonstrations augmented with visual aids. Practical skills are developed with a specified degree of proficiency through selected manipulative evolutions. Specific subject topics covered in Volunteer Fire Fighter Block 3 include forcible entry, tactical ventilation, fire control, loss control, fire origin and cause determination, fire fighter survival. This course is recommended for all volunteer fire fighters.

Physical Requirements - This is a physically demanding course which requires students to be in good physical condition.
