Course Objectives: Student will be able to understand the types of cancers most prevalent in the fire service. Student will be able to understand ways and means cancer in introduced into our bodies. Student will be able to understand preventable measures to reduce exposure with aggressive measures. Course Synopsis: This course is designed to assist firefighters in the understanding the carcinogen laced environment we work in daily. This course is dived into four distinct units. These units address (1) What cancer is (2) Types of cancer (3) How we are exposed (4) How we can prevent it.
