Basic Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus

This course provides the student with an opportunity to acquire a working knowledge of the self-contained breathing apparatus utilized by the local authority. Through lecture and discussion sessions and selected visual aids, students survey topics such as fire fighter safety and survival, respiratory hazards, SCBA equipment inspection apparatus, apparatus care and maintenance, and user limitations.
