Autism Awareness for First Responders

Autism Awareness for First Responders is a four hour course which provides public safety workers with information and guidelines for communicating with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in emergency situations. For individuals with autism, learning to interact with first responders is critical. On the other hand, it is just as essential for first responders to understand autism and be prepared to respond effectively and safely to situations involving individuals on the spectrum.
