Technical Rescue Personnel: Structural Collapse Rescue Awareness, Operations, and Technician

This course is based on NFPA 1006: Standard for Technical Rescue Personnel Professional Qualifications, Chapter 6, 2021 Edition. This program is designed for those persons who respond to incidents involving the application of special knowledge, skills, and equipment to safely resolve unique or complex rescue situations. This program is an intense course which addresses light frame construction collapse and emphasizes the following discipline areas: shoring, breaching and breaking, lifting and moving, and cutting and burning.

Special Equipment -

Hardhat with chin strap

Steel-toed shoes

Clothing suitable for outside activities (long-sleeved shirt and pants; coveralls)

Rain gear (coat and trousers)

Physical Requirements - This course is a physically demanding one which requires student to be in good physical condition.
